Is Connections.game free?
Yes. Every mode is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
When does the new daily puzzle appear?
A new daily puzzle appears at midnight in your local time zone. The timer in the results window shows how long is left.
Is this the New York Times game?
No. Connections.game is an independent site with its own original puzzles, written by our editors for each language. It is not affiliated with The New York Times.
How many mistakes can I make?
Four in the classic and Expert puzzles, three in Mini, six on the Large board and nine on the Giant one. In Speed mode there is no limit, but every wrong guess costs time.
Where are my statistics stored?
Your results, streaks and progress are saved only in your browser on this device. Clearing site data will reset them.
Can I play in my language?
Yes. The site is available in 16 languages, and the puzzles are written natively for each language, not translated, so the wordplay works.
Can I make my own puzzle?
Yes. Open Create a Puzzle, write four categories with four words each and share the link. Your friends can play it instantly.
I think a puzzle has a mistake. What should I do?
Tell us through the contact page and include the mode and puzzle number. We read every message and fix puzzles quickly.
